How do transfers and training compensation work?
The Swedish Football Association's (SvFF) transfer rules govern player transfers. Training compensation is due to the developing club on a player's first professional contract or an international transfer. We explain FIFA's RSTP Article 20 and how SvFF applies it.
What should a player contract contain?
Term, salary/fee, insurance, loyalty obligations, IP rights (image/name), termination/rescission, non-compete clause, and the federation's standard agreement. We go through what is mandatory versus negotiable.
Can we rent a municipal facility – what applies?
The Tenancy Act (Land Code ch. 12) applies if it counts as premises. Often a special agreement with the municipality is used. We clarify security of tenure, notice periods, maintenance responsibility and the option to sublet to other associations.
How do we preserve our tax-exempt status as a non-profit association?
Income Tax Act chapter 7, sections 3–13 impose requirements on purpose, activity and openness. Income from business activity (sponsorship, catering rights, merchandise) can be tax-exempt if it has a natural connection to the purpose. We show the boundaries.
